Dr. Manning was born and raised in Cary, NC.  She decided her sophomore year in college at UNC Chapel Hill that she wanted to pursue dentistry. During her undergraduate studies, Stephanie joined the Pre-Dental Honor Society in which she had the privilege to shadow local dentists and volunteer in the community. In 2003, Dr. Manning graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology.  In May 2007, after completion of a four year program at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, she graduated with a D.D.S degree and is proud to become the first dentist in her family. 

During her dental school career, outside of her studies, Dr. Manning focused on volunteering in her community: especially with children. She became a member of the ENNEAD Board, an esteemed community service group at UNC School of Dentistry, where she served as secretary from 2003-2006. In the summer of 2006, Dr. Manning had the privilege of doing two extramural rotations: one at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh, NC where she refined her skills in working with medically compromised patients performing primarily extractions and removable prosthodontics. The second rotation was located at First Health Dental Clinic in Southern Pines, where she really became confident and interested performing dentistry for children. In the 2006-2007 school year, she became an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, which gave her the opportunity to visit Head Start classrooms where she taught on the importance of prevention and proper oral hygiene for a healthy lifestyle. Upon completion of the fellowship, Stephanie continued her passion for working with children and joined the Smart Start Dental Program in Orange County that allowed her to perform dental screenings in Orange County Head Start classrooms as well. Dr. Manning is excited about providing a fun and positive experience for children and teenagers. 

In her spare time, Dr. Manning enjoys, reading, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
